'Bachelor' star Peter Weber injured in 'freak accident' but doing OK

Weber was rushed to hospital on Monday after injuring himself on a golf course, Radar Online reports.

Harrison did not go into detail on the accident, but a source familiar with production told CNN it it was not as bad as what was being reported by some media outlets on Tuesday. Weber was apparently taken to a hospital in San José and received 22 stitches.

The freak incident unfolded just one day before the contestants arrive to film the show the 27th season of the show.

Season 24 is set to air on ABC in January 2020.

"He got a cut on his head", Harrison said in the statement. I feel emotional right now, man. This is insane. This is life-changing.

"This is life-changing. I have truly, my entire life, looked forward to finding my girl, and that person that I can not wait to spend the rest of my life with", he said at the time of the announcement.

The Delta Airlines pilot was the second runner-up from last season's edition of "The Bachelorette". Weber won viewers' hearts all the way to his devastating elimination during the show's finale, and fans had been ramping up their impassioned pleas for him to become Bachelor on social media.

Peter Weber is doing fine and back on track in his journey to love.

"Obviously it sounds cliche but [I'm looking for] that girl [who] is my best friend", Weber told "Good Morning America". I wouldn't say no to trying it again because I know the experience works.

"I feel so grateful right now just to have this opportunity in front of me". He gained fame for Brown's refreshingly candid revelation that the two had sex (four times!) in a windmill during their Fantasy Suite date. Brown surprised viewers and Weber in July by picking contestant Jed Wyatt, with whom she broke up after the series ended.
