Cain Velasquez Signs Multi-Year Deal With WWE

The move is expected to be confirmed on Friday, and sources tell ESPN's Marc Raimondi that Velasquez signed a multi-year deal. Velasquez is an accomplished MMA heavyweight, a two time champion in UFC and a legend of the sport.

It's official. During a Friday press conference at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, WWE officially announced Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez and Tyson Fury vs. Braun Strowman for WWE's Crown Jewel event on October 31 in Saudi Arabia. Last week, a report from MMA Junkie stated that he planned to withdraw from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency testing pool, which would leave him ineligible to perform in UFC.

It was also announced that boxer Tyson Fury will face Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel.

Velasquez's last UFC fight took place in February of this year, losing via TKO to Francis Ngannou in 26 seconds. The 37-year-old will be joining WWE, where he has signed a multiyear contract with the wrestling organization.

"But in WWE, we don't wear gloves, you are coming into my world". Fury needed 47 stitches to close multiple cuts following the 12-round bout with Wallin.

Rey Mysterio then came out to introduce his "familia" Cain Velasquez, who reiterated the fact that he's beaten his opponent once before.

"Tyson, you are not the heavyweight champion of the world, you are just in the top 10". I haven't seen them excited over something like this in a while.
