Clippers' Big Two debut in OT thriller over Celtics

Williams scored 27 points, George added 25 and Leonard had 17 for the Clippers, who improved to 9-1 at home after rallying from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Paul George was thrilled to take to the court alongside Kawhi Leonard for the first time as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Boston Celtics 107-104 in overtime.

The reigning NBA Finals MVP, Leonard is averaging 26.8 points, 8.9 rebounds and 6.0 assists on 44% shooting in nine games this season.

Leonard blocked Kemba Walker's potential tying 3-point attempt in the left corner.

For the first time this season, the Clippers will be able to play their All-Star strikers together. We will see it tonight.

Neither team led by more than 10 points in the game. We are really good with only Kawhi [playing and George out]. When George delivered the pass to Zubac, Celtics guard Marcus Smart had to move off Kawhi Leonard over to pick up the big man. Zubac kicked the ball out to Leonard, who drained the 3-pointer.

Jayson Tatum scored a season-best 30 points for Boston. Daniel Theis collected 14 rebounds, six assists and three steals for the Celtics.

Tatum's basket left the Celtics down by three.

Tatum answered by draining a 3-pointer to tie it with 13.1 seconds remaining.

Even though the Boston Celtics missed their first 16 three point attempts, they still wound up with a 42-40 lead at halftime. When healthy, each has shown his individual brilliance - Leonard as the bully who can use brute force to manufacture space for any shot, George as the all-purpose wing who can score in just about any offensive capacity. "He knows when it's time to take over".

Patrick Beverley is one of those players that teams hate to play against.

Leonard and George each logged 37 minutes, not only earning this win but needing all the help they got from their teammates.

That dunk and the game-ending block on Walker are reasons why George told ESPN that he has wanted to play alongside Leonard since 2017, when he asked the Indiana Pacers to trade him to San Antonio.
