Clippers, Knicks Finalizing Marcus Morris Deal

The trade that is sending Marcus Morris from the New York Knicks to the Clippers is actually a three-team deal involving the Washington Wizards.

The Lakers also had talks with the Knicks about Morris, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

The Knicks get Maurice Harkless and a 2020 first-round pick in the deal, and Jerome Robinson will go to the Wizards.

The Clippers won't keep Thomas, however, a source told The Athletic's David Aldridge.

He will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason after signing a one-year, $15 million contract with the Knicks. And Kuzma, according to the latest intel on the trade talks, was a bridge too far for L.A.

Similarly, a different report indicated that the Knicks had already engaged the Lakers in exploratory conversations regarding Kuzma. He's averaging 2.9 points. However, the Clippers appear closer than ever to acquiring Morris to give them another body to throw at LeBron James in the playoffs. Harkless started 38 of the 50 games he played for the Clippers this season, but played a supporting role, averaging 5.5 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 22.8 minutes per game.
